The Malaysian National Association Against Drug Abuse (PEMADAM), the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) and the Malay and Islamic World Secretariat (DMDI) collectively organised the IFNGO Youth Health Lifestyle Workshop which took place from 15th to 18th November 2015.
As part of WAY contribution, a workshop with a theme of ‘Youth Stand Against Drug Abuse’ commenced from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at PLKN Jaya Gemilang Camp, A’famosa Resort, Melaka, Malaysia. This theme was selected to address the issue of drug-abusive behaviour which continuously causes negative results to the society including youth; encourage youth to partake in anti-drugs abuse activity; promote a healthy lifestyle; as well as raise awareness and educate youth on the importance in attaining a healthy generation, free from drug abusive behaviour and drug addiction.




THE Opening Ceremony of WAY Satellite Event was officiated by Her Excellency Vicki Treadell, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia. At this session, remarks were given by Hon. Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya, the Perak State EXCO for Human Resources, Youth and Sport; and our WAY Secretary General, Ms. Ediola Pashollari. The event began 09.00 a.m. at Casuarina @ Meru Hotel, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Present at this event were also head of departments from WAY Secretariat, Miss Soekmawati the Programme Officer; Miss Kebareileng Matlhape the International Relations Officer; and Miss Dorothy Chipfunde the Publication Officer.
During the welcoming remarks, Ms. Ediola Pashollari, Secretary General of World Assembly of Youth, introduced the theme of the WAY Satellite Event ‘The Role of Young People in Marching Towards Attainment of Sustainable Development Goals’ and welcomed the guests of honour and all participants to this event. She emphasized on the important role that young people should play in implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and that all stakeholders should join hand in this journey.




Melaka, 21st June 2015 – THIS day marked another outstanding event for the World Assembly of Youth (WAY), as highly passionate and entrusted participants have gathered for the 15th Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD), which is taking place at Kings Green Hotel in Melaka, Malaysia.

The theme for this year is ‘Youth and Armed Conflict; To Express Without A Fear, To Progress Without A Threat’ intended to fulfill the principal opinions and roles of young people towards combating armed conflict and promoting sustainable conflict free environment. From yesterday, the organising committee has welcomed various participants, speakers, WAY Vice President, Mr. Preye Ketebu-Brown as well as WAY Executive Committee Member, Mr. Muesee Kazapua. It was indeed overwhelming moments.

Youth Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders Conference


The Government of Mongolia, Mongolian Youth Federation (MYF) and World Assembly of Youth (WAY) are excited to announce the upcoming Youth Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders Conference 2015.

To be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on the 20th May 2015, the Conference will bring together entrepreneurs, stakeholders, service providers, experts and government officials.

The Conference will be held in conjunction with the XIII Asian Youth Council General Assembly and aims to empower its participants by providing them with a platform to enhance trust and improve cooperation with regional and foreign business partners, share knowledge and experiences and investigate opportunities for sustainable socio-economic development.

The Conference will build upon the theme of One Asia 2015: Youth’s Role in the future Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing the causes, challenges and priorities for achieving sustainable development in the Asian region.

This event is sponsored by the Government of Mongolia and co-hosted by the Mongolian Youth Federation and World Assembly of Youth. The Mongolian Youth Federation is Mongolia’s national representative body for youth with an extensive history of supporting Mongolian youth needs.

In 2015, MYF has partnered with the World Assembly of Youth (WAY), an international coordinating body of national youth councils and organizations, in the hosting of this exciting event. MYF has an extensive history with WAY, dating back to 1994 when MYF became a full member of WAY. In 2014 MYF President, Munkhbat Ayush, was also elected as Vice President for the Asian region with the WAY Executive Committee.

Awesome News for the WAY 16th General Assembly

We have some awesome news that we would like to share with you with regards to the WAY 16th General Assembly with the theme “Youth Leadership in Succession: Past and Present ” scheduled to take place at Sheraton Tirana Hotel in Tirana, Albania from 7th – 11th of December 2014.

We are excited to inform you that our main sponsors for the WAY 16th General Assembly will be providing a round-trip (return) air ticket for 2 (two) youth participants from each member organisation of WAY to represent their respective country at the General Assembly. To assist with this, all WAY member organisations are required to nominate 2 (two) youth participants and submit their details before 10th of November 2014. In addition, Visa on Arrival, will be provided by the Government of Albania ONLY to the registered Delegates, VIPs, Speakers and Observers who are coming from countries that DO NOT have an Albanian Consulate and/or Embassy.
