We are pleased to circulate herewith a copy of the final Declaration for the 13th Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD) "Youth Migration: A Step From Haven" that was held from 12th to 14th of September 2013 at the Hang Tuah World Heritage Hotel in Melaka, Malaysia.

The 13th MIYD, was organized by WAY in collaboration with the Melaka State Government, Asian Youth Council, Malaysian Youth Council and Ministry of Youth and Sports (Malaysia). After thorough deliberations through paper presentations, plenary sessions, workshops and field trips, the participants put together this important outcome document, addressed to all the stakeholders to ensure that the rights of various categories of youth migrants are acknowledged and protected. All in all, more than 200 youth and youth leaders from over 40 countries, participated and contributed in this monumental dialogue.

With this, we trust that rights of youth migrants will be recognized, and we urge all stakeholders to take the necessary action at a global level, accordingly.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year for another Dialogue!
