We are pleased to inform you that International Young Leaders Assembly with the theme “Moral and Innovative Leadership for Peace and Development” is scheduled to take place in Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York, USA on 6th -15th August 2018. At this annual event, each year, IYLA hosts student leaders and young professionals for interactive programmes with globally significant leaders and institutions. Delegates acquire first-hand experience in leadership, join a lasting global leadership network, and build a platform to tackle current critical issues.

The 2018 IYLA is organised by Global Peace Foundation (GPF), Global Young Leaders Academy (GYLA), and World Assembly of Youth (WAY), in partnership  with various NGOs and CSOs from around the world. For more information and application please visit:

UN Environment Calling on the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders

UN Environment is calling on the next generation of environmental leaders and would greatly appreciate if you can share this with your network.

They have partnered with Covestro to launch Young Champions of the Earth. This is a multi-year challenge to help get big ideas off the ground with seed funding, mentoring, training, global publicity and access to influential networks – including trips to the UN Environment Assembly and the UN General Assembly! The challenge aims to identify, celebrate and support individuals between 18 and 30 with outstanding potential to create positive environmental impact. Each year, a total of six Young Champions—one per world region – will receive the full life-changing support package, and 30 will receive expert mentoring.

Do you know of any brilliant young people with big ideas for environmental protection and restoration, a strong track record of instigating change, and a clear vision of a sustainable future? They might just have what it takes to become Young Champions of the Earth! Take a look at this short film to learn more:

REMINDER: Invitation to the 17th Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD) "Our Roles in Solving Juvenile Delinquency"

Warm greetings from the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) Headquarters in Melaka, Malaysia!

We are pleased to inform you that the 17th Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD)with the theme ‘Our Roles in Solving Juvenile Delinquency’ will be held from 09th to 13th July 2017 in Melaka, Malaysia. This programme is organised by the World Assembly of Youth (WAY)in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Malaysia), Melaka State Government, Asian Youth Council and Malaysian Youth Council.

An interactive dialogue on this topic will be of significance to form, educate, increase awareness on the challenges and entitlements of youth towards non-violence, peaceful and secure environment that assures and supports their development fully at the different levels of society that they represent.

Please find below the call for application for the 2017 edition of the UNAOC Fellowship Program.

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) has launched the Call for Applications for the 2017 edition of its Fellowship Programme. The Call is open to young civil society leaders between 25 to 35 years old, from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and North America, with a strong interest in intercultural exchanges. The theme of the Fellowship 2017 being “The role of civil society and the media in combatting hatred and fostering inclusion”, candidates must also be able to present professional achievements in these fields.


The Call will lead to the selection of two groups of twelve participants from Europe, North-America (EUNA) on one end, and from the Middle East and North-Africa (MENA) on the other end. Participants from each geographic area will travel to their counterparts’ region.

The goal of the Fellowship is to provide participants with first hand exposure to cultural diversity, while interacting with a wide range of local actors and partners. In every country they visit, participants will acquire crucial comprehension tools to help them understand the plurality of their host country’s culture, politics, society, religion, and media.

Candidates have until Sunday May 21st 2017 11:59pm EST to apply.
